This project spans four schools across the city—Freret, Treme, Gentilly, and Fairgrounds—where Master Gardeners cultivate thriving garden classrooms and productive growing spaces. These gardens serve as hands-on learning environments for hundreds of students, integrating gardening and cooking into their curriculum. Master Gardeners and volunteers are essential to this one-of-a-kind program, providing students with access to quality outdoor education while fostering social-emotional growth in a public school setting.
